Training Philosophy
I believe that fitness is a lifelong pursuit of challenging ourselves to be better and truly has no shortcuts. Like most good things in life, it takes time. This means when we work together we focus on a smart progression to your training, building healthy habits, prioritizing adequate recovery, and overall focusing on long term fitness over short term gains. Fitness built this way will stay with you much longer.

It has been shown that the most effective method of exercise to maintain long term fitness is the one that you enjoy, because that is what you will stick to! If you hate the training, you will have a much harder time continuing. This is why I work hard to design a custom program that is tailored to your goals, needs, experience, and utilizing the training methods you enjoy.

In all things fitness we take an 80 / 20 approach. Sticking to your nutrition and training plans 80% of the time is sufficient. It is important to enjoy life during the process!
Method
I provide high quality, professional coaching online via the app Trainerize. This enables me to keep everything organized, have a dedicated place where we can message and review form, easily stay up to date on your progress, and seamlessly provide updates and follow on phases to your training. This gives you the best coaching experience possible! Don’t worry, setting up and using the app is easy and instructions will be sent when you sign up.

Basic
$99 a month
This level is best for people who just need a little extra guidance with fitness or who want a professionally designed custom plan. People who need a help building discipline with their fitness routine and work best with less interaction from a coach.

Pro
$179 a month
People who benefit from close interaction and guidance from a coach with regular check ins, nutrition updates, and want to take all of the guess work out of their fitness program. Perfect for people who need additional help building their fitness lifestyle.
All the features of the Basic Plan plus more detailed coaching and programming features including:

Exact weight and reps or rep ranges for exercises when appropriate.

Calorie requirements and macro breakdown updated to match your goals and reflect body composition changes delivered monthly.

Weekly check ins to help keep the training aligned to your goals.

What does the Basic level look like?
Programming
I design a plan completely customized for you, taking into account your fitness level, preferences, and schedule. This plan grows along with you to always remain challenging and engaging. I plan out the exercises, sets, rep ranges, and rest time and will make workouts of all types, including gym workouts, home workouts, HIIT style, minimal or no equipment, and more!
Nutrition
At the start of the program, I will send you a recommended daily calorie intake and macro nutrient breakdown. These are tailored specifically to help you achieve your goals and are updated every phase to ensure they match the training.
Keep in mind, specific meal planning and utilizing diet and nutrition to treat disease can only be provided by a Registered Dietitian which I am NOT. Recommending calorie and macro nutrient break down are well within my experience and training to provide. Essentially, I can recommend and guide, I cannot diagnose and prescribe.
Coaching
You are the primary driver of interaction at this level. When starting out, I maintain increased contact to get videos of exercises for form review, ensure the program is meeting your expectations and provide encouragement.
After this initial period, I take a step back but am ALWAYS available for you to reach out for questions, comments, requests for programming changes, to celebrate wins, discuss frustrations, and video form review. In addition to responding to all of these, I will typically try to also reach out at least once a month during this period to check in.
What does the Pro level look like?
Programming
This level takes the Basic Level approach and dials it up. You get the same type of completely customized program with more detailed planning, such as programming the exact weight and reps or rep ranges for every exercise when appropriate. This method of additional detail can help you push past frustrating plateaus and ensure your training is matching with your body composition goals.
Nutrition
In this level, we are more dialed in with nutrition, where I will send calorie and macro nutrient breakdown every month. This will helps keep the metrics as accurate as possible by taking into account your body composition changes over the month and keep you focused on the goal. As always, we shoot for being consistent with the diet 80% of the time. It is important to still enjoy your life!

This level has a much closer level of contact with coaching by including scheduled, periodic form review to ensure form stays solid as you progress and weekly check ins designed to keep you on track with your goals, help identify any areas that I can serve you better as a coach, and ensure we are operating as a unified team.
